23 SEPTEMBER - 24 NOVEMBER
Presenting an exhibition of works from contemporary artist Alexandra Gallagher.
Showing at ME London's Marconi Lounge, Transcendence is about the female narrative in Western society and originally began back in 2016 as a series called Birds with Birds. Award-winning British artist Alexandra Gallagher is a multidisciplinary artist who's work takes the form of collages, street art, prints, photography and painting. Often working within a series, each piece is visceral and organic and Gallagher never knows how each piece transform. Born in 1980 in Greater Manchester, Alexandra is mostly self-taught and her work celebrates the surreal and sublime. Between the realms of memory, dreams and experience, her work looks beyond our subjective limits and often tells a story of inner imagination and thought.
Exhibiting and selling both across the country and internationally, Alexandra has been nominated for a number of awards and her most recent achievements include being a London Contemporary Art Prize 2018 Finalist and being shortlisted for the Rise Art Prize.
ME London proudly supports and promotes emerging talent and hosts a new show at Marconi Lounge every two months, join us at Marconi Gallery to discover works from both established and emerging contemporary artists.
This exhibition has been curated for ME London by our long-standing art curator Gone Rogue, consultants focused on the relationship between art, fashion, photography and mental well-being.
